Annotation: the article is devoted to the substantiation of the necessity of introducing the institution of alternative (extrajudicial) settlement of insurance disputes in Ukraine; Identification of specific features and study of the specific features of the legal status of the insurance ombudsman; analysis of the features of alternative (extrajudicial) settlement of disputes in the EU and the World; formulation of proposals on improving the legislation of Ukraine on alternative (extrajudicial) settlement of insurance disputes.
